Hey everyone! I'm wondering if it's okay to lay my desktop PC sideways with the glass panel side down. I have two cats who love to sleep on my PC, and I'm trying to keep them comfortable without damaging my setup. The PC case is a Lian Li O11 Air (the full-size one, not the mini), and it has fans on the top, bottom, and front that are unobstructed. Do you think this is a safe position for it, or am I risking something by doing this?

You should be okay as long as the surface isn't hard. Just look at how tempered glass can shatter when it hits a tile—it's all about what it’s resting on.
Yeah, you'll be fine as long as there’s no liquid cooling involved and airflow isn’t restricted. Orientation doesn’t really matter otherwise.
It’s all air-cooled! Thanks for the reassurance!
You might forget it's there, and something heavy could end up on it. Honestly, I’d be cautious and probably avoid it.
I mean, the cats will definitely sleep on it, but they’re only about 4.5 kilos max.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend laying the glass side down. Glass can break easily when pressed against surfaces, especially if there are vibrations from the fans.
The comments are pretty mixed on this, so I'm feeling a bit anxious about it now haha.
Actually, tempered glass is designed to handle a lot. When laid flat, it shouldn't break just from pressure or vibrations, so you might be fine with it.
If you lay it down, just make sure to put something soft between the glass and the surface to absorb any vibrations from the fans. Glass doesn't handle pressure and vibrations well.
Great suggestion! I’ll definitely do that!

It will be on a wooden table! Plus, I’ll add something soft like a blanket as the other commenter suggested.
