I recently got a dual monitor setup to use with my laptop for work because I manage a ton of tabs at once, and the extra screens would really help. I've connected one monitor without any issues using an HDMI cable. However, I'm having a tough time finding an HDMI splitter that would allow me to connect a second monitor. Most of the splitters I find are just for mirroring the display, which isn't what I need. I'm looking to extend my desktop across three separate displays instead. The splitters listed on Amazon that claim to extend don't seem to be compatible with my HP laptop. What should I consider doing to achieve this?

You might want to check out a USB to dual HDMI adapter. Those should support extending your displays rather than mirroring them.
What model of HP laptop do you have? Depending on your laptop, you might need to use video over USB-C, or you could opt for a docking station if your laptop supports three monitors.

I have the HP 15-ef1xxx.
