I've noticed that my Windows Task Manager is showing a second Ethernet connection, even though I only have one cable plugged in. Additionally, it's displaying my integrated GPU as 'GPU 1.' I'm not sure why this is happening or if it's an issue. Can someone guide me on how to remove these from my Task Manager?

If your iGPU and extra Ethernet aren't causing any performance issues, why worry? But if it bothers you, you can check your BIOS settings to disable the second Ethernet port. Just remember: having the integrated GPU can be really helpful if your main GPU fails.

A practical solution would be to disable the unused Ethernet adapter from the Device Manager. If you're on a laptop, options for the GPU are limited, but if you have a desktop, consider using the iGPU for lighter applications while reserving the main GPU for gaming. It's actually useful to assign different apps to different GPUs for better performance.

If those entries don't affect your daily use, maybe it's best to just leave them as is. Disabling things you might need later can lead to trouble, so only disable if you're confident about it.

Removing items from the Task Manager randomly isn't a good approach. It can lead to issues since those aren't just processes. Understanding what each entry represents is crucial before making any changes.
