I'm looking to upgrade my gaming rig after saving for a high-end setup, but the rising prices of Nvidia GPUs are pushing me to consider AMD instead. Currently, I have an RTX 3070 and I'm interested in the ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition. However, I'm totally new to AMD graphics cards and could really use some advice. Is this a good purchase, or are there better alternatives out there?

You might want to check the price difference! The RX 9070 isn't too far behind performance-wise—it's about 10% slower but uses 30% less power, which is pretty neat if you're conscious about your electricity bill.
I did that same upgrade on Black Friday and it's been awesome! Just make sure to use DDU to clean up drivers and play around with the overclock settings in AMD software. The transition wasn't too rough, just a bit of tweaking to get it right.
That's great to hear! How much of a performance boost did you notice with FPS? I've heard mixed things about AMD GPUs but it sounds like they're improving.
Before diving into a purchase, what's the rest of your setup like? It really helps to know what games you like to play and what monitor/resolution you're using. This can affect how well the GPU will perform for you!
I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and a MSI B550 PRO motherboard, running at 1440 resolution. I usually play Fortnite and BO3 online, and mostly focus on single-player games like Red Dead and No Man's Sky.

It's currently listed at $679.
