Should I Buy RAM or a GPU First for My New PC Build?

I'm about to start building my first PC since my laptop is getting old, and I need some advice on whether I should buy RAM or a GPU first. With the current memory shortage, I'm worried about prices going up. I've been looking at the 5070 ti and the 9070 xt graphics cards, but I also found a great bundle from Microcenter that includes a motherboard, RAM, and processor. I can only afford one this month and plan to get the other next month, but I want to know which one might see a bigger price increase in that time. Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks!

Honestly, it can feel like too much calculation and stress for your first build. If you're considering something like a 5060 rig, you could find one for around $800 and have a blast gaming. Do you really need to go all out for the 5070 ti right now?

I don’t really need that level. I might consider a lower tier if prices spike. I was just thinking about longevity; the 9070 xt isn't a huge jump in price over the 5060 and offers performance close to the 5070 ti, so it might last longer.

I’d say go for the bundle if you can. Microcenter has those deals, but it’s hard to predict how long they’ll last. Plus, you can initially use your CPU's integrated graphics to get everything set up while you wait to upgrade your GPU.

That's what I was leaning towards, thanks!
