Hey everyone! I'm transitioning from console gaming on an Xbox Series S to building my first gaming PC. I'm completely new to this, so I'm not sure how to get started or which components are the best for a solid build. My budget is between €800 and €1000, and I'm open to using either new or second-hand parts. Ideally, I'd like to focus on an AM4 build since DDR5 RAM is quite pricey. I would really appreciate any suggestions or guidance you can offer!

Honestly, with the prices being as high as they are lately, you might just want to check out some prebuilt PCs. For around €1000, you can find a decent prebuilt setup that will save you the hassle of building it yourself. Just make sure to let us know what resolution you’re gaming at and any specific GPU preferences to help narrow down the options!
For your budget, I actually recommend going with Intel parts. AM4 is getting kind of old now, and if you want good performance, Intel's latest CPUs are a solid choice. Here's a build that comes in right under €1000:
- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-14400F
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B760M DS3H DDR4 Micro ATX
- **RAM**: Patriot Viper Elite II 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600
- **Storage**: KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS G3 1 TB NVMe SSD
- **GPU**: XFX Swift OC Radeon RX 9060 XT
- **Case**: Zalman S2 ATX Mid Tower
- **PSU**: ADATA XPG KYBER 750 W 80+ Gold
Total comes to around €998.59! If you're looking for something closer to €800, I can suggest another build as well.
That's a great build! Just keep in mind that some parts, like the RAM, might be priced higher in Italy, so checking local prices before committing is a good idea.
Solid suggestions! I would also consider some alternative graphics cards if prices are an issue later!
What country are you buying from? Knowing that might help others suggest the best deals or parts available in your area!
I'm based in Italy!

Good idea! My monitor is 1080p, and I'm curious about which GPU would perform best for that resolution.
