I'm gearing up to build my first gaming PC and would love some feedback on my components. I'm located in the UK, and my budget is around £2000, but I'm open to going a bit over if needed. Here's what I have in mind:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 3.9 GHz 6-Core (£187.99)
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE (£29.99, currently out of stock)
- **Motherboard**: ASRock X870 Pro RS ATX AM5 (£205.18)
- **Memory**: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 (£449.99)
- **Storage**: WD_Black SN850X 1 TB M.2 NVME (£155.00)
- **Graphics Card**: Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB (£599.99)
- **Case**: NZXT H7 Flow ATX Mid Tower (£75.99)
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM850x 850 W Fully Modular (£109.99)
- **Operating System**: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (£0.80)
- **Monitor**: Samsung Odyssey G50D 27" 2560 x 1440 180 Hz (£179.00)
- **Custom Fans**: 2 x NZXT F120X Performance Fans (£39.98 each)

**Total Estimated Cost**: £2073.88.
Would this build deliver a solid gaming experience at 1440p? Any suggestions or changes you'd recommend?

I’d personally go for a B850 motherboard and consider an 8-core chip like the Ryzen 7 to future-proof your setup. Also, keep in mind that the 5070Ti could be a better bang for your buck instead of the 9070XT if you find the right deal.

Good point! I’ll check on the 5070Ti and see how it compares in pricing.

You might want to reconsider that X870 motherboard. A B850 is more than enough for your setup unless you're planning on going all out in the future. Just make sure it supports PCIe 5 on the GPU slot!

Yeah, I went for the X870 because the price difference was minimal, but I’ll definitely look into the B850!

£449 for RAM? Ouch! That's a bit steep, haha. If you're willing to compromise, look for similar specs that might be cheaper; prices can vary a lot.

UK prices can be rough! I haven't seen anything lower than £400 lately.

This build looks solid, but think about going with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D instead. It’ll give you a performance boost and you could even swap out to a better GPU if you really want. The RAM speed differences might not matter much in practice either.
Here’s a rough alternative setup:
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D - £341.74
- B850 Motherboard - £159.99
- True RAM - £265.66
- Larger SSD - £237.90
Total cost still hovers around £2082, but better performance all around!

I appreciate the input! Definitely gonna look into your suggestions!
