I've mostly been a console gamer but am considering switching to PC gaming due to rising game costs. I'm looking at a pre-built gaming PC for $2500 from HP with the following specs: Windows 11 Home, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (16 GB GDDR7), AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor (up to 5.1 GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads), 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB NVMe SSD, a 1000W power supply, and Wi-Fi 6 networking. What do you all think about these specs for the price?

Have you considered building your own PC? It's usually cheaper, and you could swap that CPU for one without integrated graphics. I'd also recommend looking into the AMD 9070 XT; it offers great performance for 1440p and is a good value. You might save $300-$400 by making a few changes to the build.
Honestly, I think that $2500 is a bit steep for a system with a 5070 Ti. The 8700G processor isn't the best choice if you're using a dedicated GPU; it would make more sense to go with a CPU without integrated graphics. If you're patient, you can find 5080 systems for just over $2K which would be a better investment.
Very useful information to know, thank you!

Understood! I was a little hesitant about building it myself, but it sounds like a fun challenge. Thanks!
