I'm using Windows 11 and I have a USB drive that I secured with BitLocker. Each time I plug the drive in, I'm prompted to enter my password to unlock it, which is great. However, once I'm done working with the files on the USB drive, I want to lock it again. The right-click context menu doesn't seem to have an option for locking it back. Can someone guide me on how to properly lock the USB drive after use?

You're not actually decrypting your USB drive when you enter your password; you're just accessing the files. As long as you ejected the drive, it remains encrypted and secure. If you try accessing it again, you'll have to enter the password once more.
Just a heads up, always make sure to eject the USB drive properly after you're finished; that's the easiest way to ensure your data is locked again.
Remember, the USB drive is locked to your Windows user profile. If you try to access it from a different computer or user profile, it won’t work unless you provide the password!
To lock your BitLocker-protected USB drive after you're done using it, you can simply eject it. Once you eject the drive, it will automatically lock itself. Just make sure that all your files are saved before you do that! It's a straightforward way to ensure your data stays protected.
