I'm experiencing unexpected spikes in my SSD usage while playing any game. I've checked Task Manager, and it's not pointing to the game as the culprit. I have a 2TB SSD with only 500GB used, and I've tried various solutions: I ran checks, disabled system fetch, used chkdsk, updated drivers, ensured it's not in RAID mode in BIOS, ran Malwarebytes, cleaned up the drive, and re-downloaded everything. It's practically new, having bought it last October after my previous SSD failed. I'd really appreciate any advice on this issue!

Have you considered your RAM situation? Sometimes, if you're running low on RAM, your system might start using the SSD for swapping, which could cause those spikes. It could be worth checking how much RAM you currently have.
While it sounds like you really want to rule the games out, sometimes they can be the issue too. It might help to see if the spikes are consistent across all games or isolated to certain titles. If Task Manager isn’t identifying anything consistently, it’s worth double-checking.
Are the games you're playing stored on the same SSD that's spiking? Just a thought, but if the computer needs to read files from that drive for the game, it could naturally lead to increased SSD usage during gameplay.
It sounds like what you’re experiencing could be related to the shader cache being built and accessed while you’re gaming. Modern AAA games often use this technique, which results in high read/write rates, especially if your graphics resources are being swapped in and out. Just keep that in mind when checking your usage!
