I bought a second-hand RTX 3060 Ti about three years ago, and I'm starting to wonder if it's too old or maybe just not performing well. My setup includes an Intel Core i5-14600K, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 2600MHz. I've started looking at benchmarks for my exact hardware combination, and my GPU's performance seems to lag compared to the results I see in videos. The seller showed me a FurMark benchmark with solid temps and FPS when I bought it, but I'm not getting those same results. I even had to change the thermal pads due to high temps. Could my GPU be on its last legs?

One thing to note is that many benchmarkers, even those on YouTube, often use a clean install of Windows with nothing else running in the background. So, comparing your results to theirs might not be totally fair. You should be in the ballpark performance-wise, but don’t expect your numbers to exactly match what you see online.
It's tough to diagnose without more details. What benchmarks have you run, and what's your comparison against? Also, keep an eye on your GPU and CPU temps while gaming. What percentage are they running at? Which games are you playing, and what settings and resolutions are you're using? A good benchmark for your setup would be 3DMark Time Spy—run that and compare it to similar setups for a clearer picture of your performance. Remember, your GPU is about six years old, so don’t expect it to shine in the latest games.
