I was caught in a downpour while walking to my car, and I think water got into my phone's charging port since it now shows a warning about moisture. I've let it dry for a while, but I'm wondering what else I should do to fix this issue?

You really just need to let it dry. If you can, keep it in a warm spot with some airflow, but definitely don’t rush to charge it!
You’ve got the right idea by waiting for it to dry. It can take some time for moisture to evaporate completely. Just keep it in a dry place and avoid charging it until the warning goes away.
Just give it some time! Sometimes it takes a few hours or even longer for the phone to fully dry out. Don't try charging it until it’s completely dry to avoid any damage.
