I'm currently running CachyOS on my ASUS laptop, which has an Intel iGPU with my i7 and a GeForce 1660Ti dGPU. I recently experienced poor FPS while playing Rocket League and did some digging about how to ensure the game is using the right GPU. I attempted to use Asustcl, but I heard that the GPU switching tool supergfxctl is outdated. When I checked with nvidia-smi, Rocket League was listed among the processes, yet my FPS remains low even though my laptop should handle it easily. Is there a reliable method to verify which GPU is in use or to enforce the use of my dGPU? By the way, I've noticed my GPU is running at 100% usage while my CPU sits around 30-40%.

To determine if you're using your dedicated GPU, check if your HDMI cable is connected directly to it. If it is, then you're definitely using the dGPU. And having your GPU at 100% usage is actually a good sign—it's working hard!

Haha, I'm on a laptop too, so I can’t really check that way.
