Is the AMD 9070 a Good Choice for Gaming?

I'm considering saving up for a new build featuring the AMD 9070 GPU. I've heard mixed things about driver issues—does anyone know if it's reliable? I'm particularly interested in how it handles games like Fortnite and other recent PC ports from PlayStation. I can't really trust benchmark videos since they seem to vary a lot. Also, how well does it future-proof against upcoming games?

Just to add some context, I've previously owned an RX 6600 XT and my brother had an RX 6800 XT. We faced a lot of problems, especially with Fortnite, where I experienced significant frame drops and terrible 1% lows. My brother dealt with stuttering issues, so we've developed some skepticism regarding AMD's reliability. Just to be clear, I'm not saying AMD GPUs are bad—I'm just sharing my experiences!

Honestly, it's surprising how people still worry about AMD's driver issues when NVIDIA is struggling more these days with driver stability! But from what I gather, the latest versions from AMD (version 25 and above) can make the cards a bit unstable, so tweaking with undervolting or frequency limiting might help.

I appreciate the info! I just want to avoid the headache I had with my RX 6600 XT. Sounds like it might be worth looking into those tweaks if I go for the 9070.

There are tons of reviews out there about the 9070, and most games, including Fortnite, should run just fine. Don't let your past experiences cloud your judgment; this card is pretty popular for a reason!
