Can I transfer my files from a Windows 10 PC to a new Windows 11 build?

I'm about to set up my new PC later this week, and I want to ensure that all my files are successfully transferred. My old computer is running Windows 10, and I'm concerned when moving everything over to my new machine, which will have Windows 11. Will there be any compatibility issues with the transfer? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

What do you mean by 'Windows 10 files'? Are you switching to a fresh install of 11 on your new setup?

As long as your Windows 10 files are not system files, you should be fine. Here’s a step-by-step: Make sure your Windows 10 activation is linked to your Microsoft account, then clone your current drive to the new SSD, boot it up, and reactivate after the hardware change. After that, you can do a fresh install of Windows 11 and transfer the particular files you need over to the new SSD.

Could you clarify what types of files you're trying to move? That could help with advice on compatibility.
