Hey everyone! I've been keeping an eye on my Asus TUF 3080 Ti OC and noticed that while the core temperature maxes out around 66°C, the hotspot temperature can hit up to 89°C, which gives me about a 24°C delta. I know it's generally best to keep the delta around 15°C. The GPU hasn't been repasted in the almost 5 years I've had it, and I'm not super knowledgeable about GPU cooling. Is this hotspot temp something to be concerned about or should I just relax? Here are my specs for context:
- GPU: Asus TUF 3080 Ti OC
- CPU: 9800X3D
- Cooler: Deepcool Assassin IV
- Motherboard: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk
- RAM: Teamgroup 32GB DDR5
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow with 3 intake and 2 exhaust fans

Your hotspot temp is definitely on the higher side, but it’s not immediately alarming if your card isn’t throttling. Many people find the 15°C delta ideal, but it’s not a hard rule. Regular maintenance like repasting can help lower those temps, especially if it hasn't been done in years. Just keep an eye on it, and if you start seeing performance drops or higher temps during gaming, it might be time to take action!

Would you recommend repasting it, though? How often should I really be worried about the hotspot temp?
