I'm trying to decide what's best for my new PC build on a budget. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600XT processor and I'm considering using 32GB of DDR4 RAM or going for a bundle that includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM. I've found a nice bundle at a local store that costs around $350. I know DDR5 is great for future upgrades, but would I be making a mistake if I opt for the 32GB of DDR4 instead?

I think investing in the AM5 platform is smarter. Even if you have to start with 16GB of RAM, you can easily upgrade later. With current RAM prices and the upgrade limitations of the AM4, you're better off with a system that has more longevity, even if it means starting with less RAM.
Honestly, the decision primarily hinges on how you plan to use your PC. If you're only gaming and not running heavy applications simultaneously, the 16GB DDR5 should be fine. But, if you do a lot of multitasking or use RAM-intensive applications, having 32GB could make a huge difference. I switched to 64GB DDR4 and found it very beneficial for my workflow.

Good point! I might just go with more RAM since I do have a few tabs open while gaming.
