Looking for Recommendations on Graphics Cards for Future PC Build

I'm planning to build a PC for both gaming and programming, but I haven't bought it yet since I'm currently saving up. I'm interested in playing AAA titles and FPS games like God of War, Battlefield 6, Red Dead Redemption, COD, Valorant, GTA, and CS. Additionally, I need to do some software and mobile app development, video editing, and create advertising images. I'm considering a few graphics cards: the Nvidia 5060 Ti 16GB, the Nvidia 5070 12GB, or the AMD 9060 XT. I would really appreciate any advice on which one to choose, especially in light of recent market changes.

Prices are all over the place right now, so my advice might not hold when you're ready to buy. Try to track down a card near its MSRP based on your performance needs. For instance, recently I noticed the 9060 XT for $430, while the 5060 Ti was at $550, and the 5070 at $650. If you find a 9070 around $600, that's a great deal considering its performance is quite a step up from the 5060 Ti, usually worth the slight price increase.

It depends on when you're planning to buy. If your budget allows, I’d lean toward the 5070, but prices can fluctuate quite a bit. So keep an eye on that!

For coding and video editing, I'd definitely suggest going with an Nvidia card. They tend to perform better in those areas, especially if you’re working with specific software.

I plan to use it mostly for work during the week and squeeze in some gaming on weekends!

I got the AMD 9060 XT 16GB for €380 a while back and it's been a solid choice. If you're looking into the 5070, check out the 9070; people seem to like it. The performance is decent and it’s usually a bit cheaper than Nvidia while still doing well in games. Just keep in mind that some features like DLSS are better with Nvidia, so it depends on what software you’ll be using.
