I'm in the process of building a new PC and deciding on the best power supply unit (PSU) is proving to be a bit tricky. My build includes a Ryzen 7 9850x3d and a 5080 16GB Founders Edition GPU inside a Lian Li Mini v2 case. I also plan to connect some Lian Li strimers to the 24-pin and GPU connectors. Ideally, I'm seeking a 1000W Gold to Platinum rated PSU to ensure I have some extra power capacity for future upgrades.
I've reviewed the PSU Tier List and here are some fully modular options I'm considering:
- Seasonic Vertex PX 1000W PLATINUM (2022)
- Seasonic Focus GX V4 ATX 3.1 1000W GOLD (2025)
- Corsair HX1000i PLATINUM (2023)
- Super Flower Leadex VII XP 1000W PLATINUM (2023)
I'm primarily looking for a PSU that's well-respected, quiet, and can deliver top-notch performance for my setup. I believe the ones listed meet my needs, but I'm open to any other recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I just returned my Corsair HX1000i because of a loud coil whine, so I can't recommend it. It made me think it was my GPU at first! I’d say check out either the Seasonic Vertex or Focus models; they have great reputations and should fit your needs.
