I have an older Dell Inspiron 3891 desktop running Windows 11, but I primarily use Fedora on a second SSD. Normally, I access the BIOS by pressing F2 to switch boot devices easily. However, today when I tried to access the BIOS, the screen went black and wouldn't display anything. After a reboot without touching anything, I was able to boot directly into Windows 11 without problems. Now, I can't access the BIOS or the Boot Options screen (F12)—it just stays black. I even attempted to force a BIOS restart from the command prompt and removed the CMOS battery, but that didn't help. I can't run the BIOS Recovery Tool from USB since I can't change the boot order. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to force the BIOS to load?

Letting the USB drive take over as the primary boot device is a good idea. Just be ready to pull the SSDs out—it might take a bit to unscrew them but should be straightforward!
If you're unable to access the BIOS, try removing both SSDs—this should make the USB drive your primary boot option automatically. It might not resolve the BIOS access issue, but it's worth trying as a temporary workaround.
Just a quick reminder to ensure you have backups of your important data before making significant changes to your BIOS or disk setup. It can prevent data loss in case something goes wrong.
