Hey everyone! I've been using the same PC since I was about 13, and it's really starting to show its age. I'm looking to upgrade to a more modern setup and would love some feedback on my planned parts list before I place an order. Here are my current specs and what I'm thinking of moving to:

**Current PC Parts:**
- **CPU:** Intel i7-7700
- **CPU Cooler:** Stock Intel Cooler
- **Motherboard:** Asus H110-PLUS
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3200MHz
- **GPU:** Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB
- **Storage:** 120GB SSD (primary) + 1TB HDD (secondary)
- **Power Supply:** Unknown wattage, cheap one

**Upgraded PC Parts:**
- **CPU:** Intel Core i7-12700KF
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
- **Motherboard:** MSI B760 Gaming Plus WiFi DDR4
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz (2x16GB)
- **GPU:** MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12GB OC
- **Storage:** Samsung 980 Pro 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD (primary) + Seagate Barracuda 4TB HDD (secondary)
- **Power Supply:** EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT 80+ Gold 750W
- **PC Case:** Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL RGB Black TG Clear Tint

I just want to make sure I'm not making any silly mistakes with this upgrade. Any advice would be super helpful!

What are you mainly using this PC for? If it’s for gaming, you might want to consider switching to an AMD platform, like the Ryzen 7600 with DDR5. The i7-12700K is great for productivity but maybe not the best bang for your buck if gaming is your focus, especially since the RTX 3060 feels a bit dated now. Also, you seem to be investing a lot in parts that don't directly contribute to gaming performance, like the case and PSU. Just curious, what country are you in?

While you're at it, it might be a good idea to check out used parts for your upgrade. The 7000 series AMD processors can be found for cheap, and using an older GPU like the 9070 XT could save you some cash. But I get it if the case is a bit of a pain; that can make the whole build process frustrating!

I'd recommend an AMD CPU, like the Ryzen 5 7600. For the GPU, the 3060 isn't ideal now—go for something like the 7900 XT if it’s within your budget. Also, you could reuse your old case to save some cash for more critical components. And regarding storage, consider getting the 990 Evo instead of the 980 Pro; it’s a solid choice! How do you intend to use the 4TB HDD? For games, I would avoid it due to potential performance issues.

Just a heads up, I found out the hard way that if you're sticking with the 4TB HDD, it won't come with SATA data cables! Your PSU should have the power cables, but it's something to keep in mind.
