Looking to Upgrade My Budget Gaming PC – Any Suggestions?

I built my first computer in 2021 with my friend's help, using an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G without a dedicated video card due to budget constraints. My setup includes a B550 AORUS ELITE V2 motherboard and 2x8GB DDR4 3600 RAM. Last year, I upgraded to a Radeon RX 6600, so now I'm just using the 5600G as the processor. I haven't made any other changes since 2021. I'm curious if there are any components I should upgrade for noticeable improvement, especially the CPU. I don't play demanding AAA games and am fine with lower settings at 1080p. I plan to use this PC for another 3-4 years, so I don't want to spend a lot on upgrades but want the best pairing with the RX 6600. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

First things first, check if your CPU is bottlenecking your current games. If it's not causing any slowdown, upgrading your CPU might not significantly boost your gaming performance. The 5600G isn’t the best for gaming and could be limiting your GPU's full potential. If you're looking to upgrade, a Ryzen 7 5800XT could be a good choice, but the 5700X3D might be overkill for your RX 6600. Just make sure to read up on bottlenecks before deciding!

Thanks for the input! I’ll check for a bottleneck before making any changes. I noticed the pricing is similar for the 5800XT and 5700X3D. What do you think about upgrading RAM to 2x16GB instead?
