I'm currently using a 5080 and I'm looking to upgrade to a 5090 to achieve 4K 144Hz gaming at high FPS without sacrificing graphics quality. I'm not sure about the current market situation with graphics cards, especially with AI tech being a factor. I plan to give my 5080 to my wife, who has a 5070, and I could sell her card to help with the costs. However, the 5090 is really pricey right now. Is it worth upgrading now, or should I wait for prices to stabilize?

Honestly, you should have jumped on a 5090 back in 2025 when the prices were more reasonable. Right now, you'd be looking at at least $3,000, which is pretty steep for just a graphics card.
I upgraded to a 5090 just last week after having a 5080 since last year. I ended up saving $1,000 because I had my savings in gold.
