Advice on Building a Compact Gaming PC for Home

I'm chatting with my wife about building a compact yet powerful gaming PC that we can both enjoy. I'm not super experienced with PC building, but I've done a bit of research and put together a list of parts. You can check it out here: [PC Part Picker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4HTwFZ).

We're considering the Tower 300 case because it fits our specific space requirements. However, I've heard some concerns regarding the thermal performance due to the unique GPU mounting in this case, which might cause it to run hot, even during light gaming or when idle. This PC will mainly be used for gaming and some video editing on a 4K TV since it'll be set up in a room rather than on a desk. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, a 30L case is quite spacious and should handle thermals without issues. Go for a GPU with triple fans to maximize airflow. Just make sure you place it in an area with good airflow to keep things cool.

That CPU cooler looks really pricey! You could save some cash by using the Thermalright Phantom Spirit; it performs just as well. If you're set on an AIO, the Arctic Liquid Freezer III is a great option. Also, you don't need an SFX PSU for that case, and I'd suggest checking out the Silverstone Grandia 11 since it blends well with home theater setups.

Thanks for the tip! The AIO was my wife's choice, so I'd have to convince her to switch. But will a standard ATX PSU work for this case? I've read there might be compatibility issues.

It sounds like you might want to upgrade to a 7800X3D for better performance. And the GPU, a 5070 might be falling short for 4K gaming; you should aim for a 5070 Ti or better. Here’s an alternative build I found: [Alternative Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9BRsBq).

I'm looking at the same thing! We need to verify if the case will actually fit the Trifan MSI 5070 Ti. We're aiming for that steady 60FPS since that's the max output of our TV.

What about tariffs and the size of your LCD?
