Hey everyone, I've been dealing with this annoying problem for about a week now. My PC randomly freezes for about a second every half an hour or so, regardless of what I'm doing—whether I'm gaming or just watching a video. The audio keeps playing normally during these freezes, which is really strange. I've checked Task Manager and Event Viewer, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. I even recorded a video to show the issue. Here are my specs:
- GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core Processor
- MOBO: B650 AORUS ELITE AX
- RAM: 2x16 DDR5 running at 6000MT/s
- Storage: Corsair MP600 CORE XT 1TB SSD, Kingston SNV2S1000G 4TB SSD, ST8000DM004-2CX188 8TB HDD
- PSU: Corsair RM850e
I've tried a bunch of things already: reinstalling GPU drivers using DDU, fully reinstalling Windows, changing GPU scheduling and power settings, adjusting monitor refresh rates, tweaking BIOS settings like fTMP and XMP, and reseating the video card and RAM. Unfortunately, nothing has worked. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out before I go insane!

Just a thought—have you checked if Windows is set to change your wallpaper every 30 minutes? That caused similar issues for me, particularly when it tried to match the UI color with the picture. Might be worth a look!
This could be a hardware issue. Try removing components one at a time and see if the freezing stops. With RAM, experiment using different slots. If the problem goes away after removing something, you’ll know where to look!
Check your RAM settings! This might be related to a memory leak, which can definitely cause those freezing issues you’re experiencing. Make sure to monitor the RAM usage while you're testing things out.
