Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from my 10GB 3080 since I've switched to gaming on a 4K monitor. In my area, the Colorful 5070 Ti costs about $920, while the Sapphire 9070 XT is priced at $833. I'm trying to figure out if the 5070 Ti is worth the additional $90. I've checked out some reviews, and while the performance looks similar, I'm particularly interested in ray tracing since I play games like Cyberpunk 2077. My current setup includes an RM850x PSU, an undervolted 12700k, and 32GB of RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Since ray tracing is important to you, I think the $90 difference for the 5070 Ti is definitely justified. Here, finding a decent 5070 Ti for under $900 is quite rare, so if you can get one, it's a good deal! Just make sure you're looking at the 16GB version!
Ultimately, it's up to you! Some games run better on AMD hardware, so you might see better FPS in certain titles with the 9070 XT. For example, the Call of Duty games over the past few years have been more optimized for AMD. I suggest checking out some benchmark comparisons to help you decide. Just as a side note, the 9070 XT features FSR 4 and AFMF 2, which are cool additions. But if ray tracing is your priority, the Nvidia 5070 Ti excels there and has the added bonus of strong resale value. Here's a comparison image that might help: https://imgur.com/a/VjaECrL
Thanks for sharing that link! It really helped clarify a lot for me.
Honestly, as a 3080 owner, I'm not sure if anything less than a 5080 is worth upgrading to at this point. Cost-wise, it might be better to hold off for another generation instead of going for either the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT. What do you think?
I appreciate your thoughts! I'm leaning towards waiting a bit to see what the next gen brings, but it’s tough to resist the urge to upgrade.
Yeah, I went for the 16GB version. Just pulled the trigger on it! Thanks for the advice!
