Hey everyone, I need some help troubleshooting a problem my boyfriend is having with his PC connection. He's been using USB tethering with his phone to get internet access, but now he can't connect to any game servers for titles like TF2, Gmod, DST, Roblox, or Terraria. Interestingly, he can still browse the web and play browser games without any issues. I've already suggested he run some commands in CMD like 'ipconfig /flushdns' and 'netsh winsock reset', plus the built-in network reset in Windows, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Are you sure you’re talking about tethering? Also, does his mobile plan have any limits on data usage? Sometimes there are caps that can affect connections even if you can browse normally.
What exactly seems to be the issue? I'm not picking up on the specifics here. It sounds like the USB tethering is being used for games, but maybe there's something going on with the game servers themselves? We could need to dig deeper into the error he's getting.
