Hey everyone! I'm looking to boost my PC's performance and I'd love your feedback. Here's my setup: I'm running Windows 11 Pro on a Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX. I have a mix of storage with a 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD for the OS, a 1TB Solidigm P41 Plus NVMe SSD, a 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, and a 512GB XPG SX8200 Pro SSD. My processor is an AMD Ryzen 9 7950x3D with 64GB of G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 RAM running at 6000MT/s. I've got a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 GPU (not looking to upgrade this) and an ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 cooler. I use an ASUS TUF Gaming 28" 4K monitor. My main concern is whether anything in my setup seems like a bottleneck or if you have suggestions for improvements. Thanks!

The hard drive is definitely the first thing I’d tackle. It can slow the system down a lot compared to SSDs. I’d also consider your RAM speed; 3600 MT/s is okay, but you could improve performance with faster options if it’s feasible. It really depends on what you use the system for. If gaming is your main thing, let’s focus there. What types of games are you playing?
I think the HDD is a major issue, especially since it’s your OS drive. Switching to an SSD for the OS will likely speed things up significantly. Also, while 128GB of RAM is impressive, if you’re using it at 3600 MT/s, it’s a bit slow compared to what’s available today. Are you sure you need that much RAM, or could you lower it to something that performs better?
Any suggestions on which SSD to get? I want something fast but not too pricey.

I mainly play first-person shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield. No streaming though. Does that change your advice?
