Why can’t I see my SSD outside of BIOS?

I have a SAMSUNG 870 EVO 1TB SSD that I bought new and installed Linux on without issues. However, lately, I've run into a problem where the SSD is recognized in the BIOS as "Manjaro" but isn't showing up in Windows or when I try to install any other operating system. I previously had a similar trouble with a USB drive, which I managed to fix using guidance from a Reddit post. Is there something similar I could try for my SSD? I'm not very tech-savvy, so any help in diagnosing or resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated!

If you can't find it even in the Mint live environment, it might be worth checking it with a different live USB distribution. Some distributions handle disk recognition differently, so that could help you troubleshoot further.

It sounds like your SSD might be using the ext4 format that Linux prefers, which is why Windows can't see it. You could boot from a Linux live USB, and you should be able to access the SSD there. Just remember that Windows doesn't recognize Linux file systems.

Is there a way to format the SSD with that Linux live USB? I’m a bit lost on how to do that.

I did install Linux on it when I bought it new, so I guess that's the issue.
