I'm currently using DSL for my internet at home, but I'm about to switch providers, and none of them offer DSL service. Before I think about having a coaxial cable outlet installed, I'm wondering if I can use a MoCa adapter instead. Is that possible?

MoCa requires coax wiring, while DSL relies on phone lines. If your phone lines are in good shape, well-connected, and have enough conductors, you might be able to convert them for Ethernet use, but it won't work for MoCa directly.
Unfortunately, you can't use a MoCa adapter with DSL since it operates on phone lines, not coaxial cables. The technician from your new ISP will have to install a coax line from the pole to your house and set up the modem.
Yeah, I had the same confusion about crimping Ethernet connectors onto phone wires. It makes sense because Ethernet uses more wires, but as long as the phone line works for power and voice, you might be able to adapt it for your needs later.
