Hey everyone! I'm currently on the hunt for an internship, but I'm feeling a bit disheartened because I don't have a lot of projects to showcase on my resume. I recently came up with an idea to create a website and inventory management system for small bookstores, allowing them to update both simultaneously. However, after doing some research, I discovered that similar solutions already exist, which really bummed me out and has made me question whether I should continue with my project. I was excited about this idea, and I'm torn between pursuing it for the learning experience or dropping it and finding a new project. What do you all think? Should I just go for it or look for something else?

Honestly, most projects you come up with will have been tried before, but that shouldn't stop you from learning! You're still gaining valuable skills and experience. Plus, your perspective and approach can bring something fresh to the table. Just remember, if you grow tired of it later on, it's okay to move on. It’s all part of the learning process!
So, would you suggest I just dive in and learn through the process?
