Looking for OS Deployment Solutions Without a Reference Image

I'm currently using MDT to deploy Windows 11 images. Each time a new ISO is released, I import it, update my task sequences to include drivers and updates, and then I'm good to go. For software deployment, I rely on PDQ. I'm wondering if there are any OS deployment solutions that allow installation without needing to capture a reference image beforehand. I've looked into options like PDQ's SmartDeploy and FOG Project, but both seem to require a reference image.

Have you considered Intune with Autopilot? It does depend on the OEM providing a solid base image, but it’s a viable option. For instance, we opt for Dell Ready machines that allow us some flexibility with the version of Windows 11 we get pre-installed or can recover into from the internet.

That's interesting! We started using Autopilot last year. It still took some effort, especially when working with our vendor. We’re getting Dell laptops too—what’s the deal with those Dell Ready machines?
