Help Needed: Troubleshooting DirectX and EasyAntiCheat Crashes

I'm struggling to get my system running games properly, particularly dealing with DirectX and EasyAntiCheat issues. I have a Ryzen 5 5700x CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. I bought this second-hand computer that had been sitting unused for a couple of years. After finally getting it to post properly, I've spent around 14 hours trying to resolve the crashes that happen before games can even launch. I've tried a wide range of solutions including updating drivers, running various diagnostic tools, reinstalling Windows, and going through command prompts to fix DirectX issues. Unfortunately, I'm still facing game crashes related to error 126. I can see some specific DLL errors in the crash reports, and I suspect there might be an issue with the EasyAntiCheat as well. Any detailed advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried checking the Event Viewer for more detailed logs when the crashes happen? Those crash reports can give you a clearer picture. Also, ensure that your Windows 11 is fully updated. Sometimes updates can fix underlying compatibility issues. If you’re still stuck, a fresh install of Windows might be the way to go, just to wipe everything clean. But let's keep that as a last resort.

First off, take a breather. It sounds like you've done a ton of troubleshooting already! For error 126, that usually points to a DLL version mismatch. Try checking the architecture of your game and make sure your DirectX files match that (32-bit vs 64-bit). It might be worth reinstalling DirectX completely to ensure all components are in working order. Also, have you checked if your security settings or antivirus could be blocking any necessary files? Sometimes those are the sneaky culprits that cause these issues.

I feel your pain! It’s really frustrating when you've done everything and still hit a wall. For EasyAntiCheat issues specifically, there's a chance something got corrupted during installation. I'd suggest completely uninstalling it from your system and then reinstalling it through Steam or the Epic Games Launcher. Make sure to run your game as an administrator. If you haven't already, disabling any overlays (like Discord or GeForce Experience) while testing can also help, as they sometimes interfere with game launches.
