Tips for Building My First PC with a $2k Budget

I'm diving into my first PC build and I have a budget of $2,000. I've already picked out some components which I'm considering, but I plan to grab a bundle from Micro Center for the CPU, motherboard, and RAM to save some cash. I'd really appreciate any advice on whether I should switch out any parts for better options or to save money. For context, I'm looking to play games like Arc Raiders, modded Minecraft, GTA, Elden Ring, and the upcoming Black Myth: Wukong.

It's impressive you can build something so solid for $2k these days! That 1TB drive might become an issue as you add more games, but you'll likely manage until prices drop further. Being near a Micro Center really gives you an edge; I snagged a 9800X3D bundle just as prices were starting to climb!

Haha yeah, having a Micro Center close by is a huge win. I need to jump on deals before they get worse!

I've got to say, your build looks awesome and perfectly balanced! Just a few tweaks could make it even better.

I updated the prices for you based on the Micro Center savings. I suggest boosting your storage from 1 TB to 2 TB since games can pile up fast. I also switched the cooler from the Peerless Assassin to the Phantom Spirit since it’s newer and slightly more effective. This updated list keeps you around $1,750, leaving enough for some upgrades like the 9800X3D for just a bit more. Also, make sure to check if any parts at Micro Center are cheaper; you can price match with Amazon or Newegg for quick pickup. Good luck with your build!

Thanks for the suggestions! Do you think upgrading to the 9800X3D is worth it?
