Hey folks! I'm gearing up to build my very first sim racing PC and could really use some advice to ensure I'm on the right track. My current racing setup is on a PS5, using a Logitech Pro wheel and load cell pedals, paired with an Acer Predator XB323QU monitor (1440p, 170Hz). I'm a dedicated hobbyist, mostly focused on F1 titles, particularly F1 25 and those to come. My main goal is to achieve smooth 1440p performance with high FPS and stable frame times, rather than chasing maximum graphics detail.
I want this setup to last me about 4-5 years, with the possibility of upgrading the GPU in the future. I'm also aiming to keep costs reasonable, as I'm planning to invest more in pedals and other sim gear over time—since I think that will impact my driving experience more significantly.
Here's the build I've put together:
* AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-E / 32GB DDR5-6000 bundle
* ASUS Dual RTX 4070 Super
* Samsung 990 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD
* MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850W PSU
* Montech AIR 903 MAX case
* Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler
* Sabrent 10-port powered USB hub (for future SIM gear)
* Logitech K400 Plus keyboard for navigating the rig
Does this setup look balanced for a 1440p F1-focused environment? Are there any areas where I might be overspending or could simplify the build without sacrificing performance? Thanks a ton!

Hey! Your build looks solid for what you're aiming to do. However, I noticed that the RTX 4070 Super might be a bit hard to come by as it’s been out of production for a while, which could inflate the prices. You might want to consider the latest alternatives or possibly look at used GPUs—it could save you some cash!

Thanks for the heads-up! I’m definitely open to checking out used options if it means staying within budget.
