I've been having an issue where my PC randomly shuts down and restarts without any warning. I think this might have started after I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 3000 to a Ryzen 5000 a few months back, which required a BIOS update. I've checked the temperatures, and there's no thermal throttling going on. I also doubt it's the new CPU since I bought it brand new with no bent pins. My power supply is also new and should have enough wattage for all components. I'm still using Windows 10, so could this be a bug? I'm really puzzled and would appreciate your thoughts on what might be causing this.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? If you’ve already done that, it might be worth considering a new power supply.
I've had a similar issue before, especially after a BIOS update. Are you using a GPU riser cable for vertical mounting? I was using a gen 4 riser cable at one point, but my BIOS was set to AUTO for PCIe x16 slot config, which targeted PCIe 5.0. Switching this to force PCIe 4.0 fixed my crashes and stuttering completely.
No, I'm not using a riser. My setup has a PCIe x16 Gen 3 with an RTX 3060 Ti, which I believe supports PCIe Gen 4.
It sounds like it could be a power supply issue. If it's shutting down and then restarting, check to make sure all your cables are securely connected. Also, look in the BIOS to see if there’s any temperature limit set. I have an Intel 13900KF that shuts off at 90°C, which sounds a bit like what you're describing.
Thanks for the advice! It's just odd because this happens even when I'm doing light tasks and the CPU temp is well below 50°C.

I haven’t cleared the CMOS yet. What do you mean by 'cleared'? Thanks!
