Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my current AM4 setup for smoother 1080p 144Hz gaming. Right now, I have an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB GPU, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM on an MSI B350 TOMAHAWK motherboard. I mainly play World of Warcraft and Counter-Strike 2, getting about 100 FPS, but I notice some drops during intense moments. I've been considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600, which seems budget-friendly and should enhance performance. However, I'm curious about which GPU would complement the 5600 for the best 1080p gaming experience. Also, should I just hold off and wait for an AM5 setup instead? Thanks for any advice!

I think a Radeon 6600 XT would be a solid choice for your setup. It balances performance and cost well for 1080p gaming, especially since you won't need anything overly powerful for the games you play. If you're looking to save a bit, the RX 5700 XT is also a great option and should keep you going strong at 144 Hz!
