Hey everyone! I'm planning to create a simple HTML-only website that will serve as a minimalistic digital business card. My goal is to showcase my LinkedIn profile, share my email, and include a few essays detailing my past experiences. I'm aware of the limitations that come with using only HTML, but I'm eager to see some design inspiration that really pushes the boundaries. Any examples or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I get that you want to avoid frameworks, but if you're going purely HTML, check out dribbble for some visual inspiration. Just a heads up, even in strict HTML, you might still want to consider the basic styles to keep things looking nice.

True, any visual elements can help, but I get why you're aiming for simplicity.

It sounds like a cool project, but remember that if you're looking for design inspiration, it might be tough without any CSS. Just make sure it doesn't end up looking like a 90s website! You could always check out some minimalist sites for ideas, but don't set your expectations too high with just HTML.

Haha, savage but true! It's tough to make an HTML-only site look modern.

I know right! Even a simple business card layout could use a bit of styling to catch the eye.

If you want to go really minimal, lean into the constraints! Websites like motherfuckingwebsite.com are hilarious examples of that extreme minimalism. If you're serious about HTML-only, focus on solid document structure, which can create a nice look even without extra styling. Consider if you want to show everything on one page or link to multiple essays!

Honestly, if you're not using CSS, just be prepared for a very basic look. It might be challenging to get the visual presentation right without any styling, but it’s totally doable! You can also use simple HTML elements smartly to give your site a bit of structure without relying on design tricks.

Yeah, I agree. Just keep it straightforward, I guess!

Good points! Even with basic HTML, you can still emphasize content.

To make your HTML-only site work well as a namecard, focus on clear navigation and good content structuring. Using elements like `

` for your essays or `

` for quotes can also make it more engaging. For a bit of flair, try linking your essays in a way that users can click to expand. Good luck!
