Feeling Overwhelmed with DevOps Changes?

Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I'm feeling a bit stuck in my current DevOps project. I joined this team with high hopes of implementing DevOps practices, but I'm running into a lot of resistance on my suggestions. It seems like to get anywhere meaningful, everything would need a complete overhaul. So, I'm wondering, is it worth pushing for these changes, or should I just accept the status quo and look for a new opportunity?

Learning about change management can really help with making DevOps transitions smoother. Check out resources like the J-Curve and Agile change management concepts. They might give you some useful frameworks to navigate this transition better!

You're definitely not alone in this! When introducing DevOps where it wasn't before, it's common to face pushback. Try implementing small automations first to ease the team into it. Also, giving the teams some control over their processes can really help get them on board. Think of them as your customers—find out what they need and keep the changes approachable!

I totally get where you're coming from! It's tough to make big changes all at once, but you can break them down into smaller, manageable steps. Start by supporting existing practices and understanding why they're in place. Once you do that, you can suggest tiny changes that will make a difference while gradually moving towards your goal. Remember, like climbers say, focus on the next step rather than looking too far ahead!

Been in your shoes! Tiny changes are key; don’t rush it. Sometimes you just need to wait for upper management to back your ideas. Focus on getting your paycheck and don't stress too much about it right now.
