Why Do I Get the Same FPS in Full HD and 4K for League of Legends?

Hey everyone! I've just upgraded my PC and I'm getting around 600-700 FPS while playing League of Legends. I decided to try playing at 4K resolution, but surprisingly, my FPS stayed the same. Can someone help me understand why this is happening? I've tried other games too, but the FPS remains consistent regardless of the resolution.

It sounds like you might be hitting a performance limit due to your CPU. In many cases, if your CPU can't keep up with the frame generation, the resolution change won't affect your FPS.

That's probably because League is pretty easy on hardware. If you’re already pushing the limits of what the game engine can handle, then increasing the resolution won’t make a difference in FPS.

What are your full PC specs? If there's no change in FPS with resolution tweaks, you're likely running into a CPU bottleneck. The CPU is generating frames at its max capacity while the GPU just waits for it to catch up.

I’ve got a 5070ti and a 9800x3d with settings maxed on both resolutions.
