I just bought a Toshiba Dynabook B65/DN laptop, which doesn't seem to allow a Wi-Fi connection unless I use a Wi-Fi adapter. I've tried installing a device driver through Device Manager and selected a recommended driver, but I still can't connect. I'm looking for any possible solutions to connect to Wi-Fi without using a wireless network adapter. Thanks for any suggestions!

Make sure to get the correct Altobeam drivers, which you can find at this GitHub link: https://github.com/gtxaspec/atbm-wifi. Sometimes driver installations need to be done with the provided setup tool instead of just through Device Manager.
Have you checked for a physical switch on the laptop that might disable the Wi-Fi hardware? It's a long shot, but I've seen it happen before. Just make sure that the Wi-Fi is enabled in any settings too.
The thing is, without a functional Wi-Fi adapter, you can't connect to Wi-Fi. Your laptop might be missing its internal adapter since most laptops these days have one built-in.
The only way to get online without a Wi-Fi adapter is through another device that has Wi-Fi, using an Ethernet adapter instead. If you can, just hook up your laptop directly to the internet via Ethernet. That way, you can diagnose the Wi-Fi adapter issue more easily and download the right drivers directly from the manufacturer's site.
It sounds like your laptop should technically have a Wi-Fi adapter. If it's not working, it might be a good idea to take it back to where you bought it. Also, ensure that your device settings aren't trying to use a faulty internal adapter which could mess with the external one.
