I'm looking for recommendations on the best graphics card to upgrade my pre-built Omen PC, which I bought around five years ago for a little over $2000. I've already upgraded everything except the GPU. My current setup includes a Ryzen 7 9700x CPU, Noctua cooler, DDR5 600MHz RAM, a Phonics mid-tower case, a 1TB SSD, and an 850W PSU. I'm mainly into competitive FPS games and currently use a 1080p 360Hz monitor, but I'm interested in diving into more single-player games too. Budget-wise, I'm flexible, but I want the best value for my money. I've heard suggestions like the 4070 Ti, but I'm not sure if that's truly the best option for my needs.

The 5070 is a solid choice for your needs and works great for most games at 1080p. It's really good for both competitive and single-player gaming without breaking the bank.
If you're gaming at 1080p, the GPU becomes more critical especially for more demanding games. But with your current overheating issues and low FPS, an upgrade is definitely a smart move! Just make sure to consider something that fits your needs, like the 5060Ti 16GB—it could save you some cash while still performing well at 120fps in many new games.
Honestly, the 4070 Ti might be a bit of an overkill for your high refresh 1080p setup. The 5070 seems like the sweet spot for balancing performance and price in your case.
Is the 4070 Ti really that much better than the 5070? I’m still trying to figure out the differences.

I’ve also heard the 9070 is a decent option if you want to consider alternatives, but the 5070 is definitely a reliable pick.
