I recently installed a 5070 GPU that I bought from a friend who had to sell it shortly after purchasing. Initially, I was using a 2060 and had no issues, but ever since I switched, my computer has been running really slow. Boot times are much longer, applications lag when opening, and load times are excessive. I assumed it might be a drive issue, so I ran DDU twice to clean up any old drivers, but the problems persist. Below are my specs:
* Intel Core i5-13500 2.5 GHz 14-Core Processor
* Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU Cooler
* Gigabyte B760M DS3H DDR4 Motherboard
* Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
* Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD
* MSI GAMING TRIO OC GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
* Corsair 4000D Airflow Case
* Corsair RM750e 750 W Power Supply
Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Try reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers and don't forget to update your motherboard BIOS too. It's amazing how much a simple driver update can improve performance.
First thing I'd suggest is to update your motherboard BIOS. I've heard that some users have experienced strange issues with the BIOS after installing the 50 series GPUs. It might help things run smoother!
Make sure your GPU is installed in the fastest PCIe slot. I once put mine in the wrong slot and it caused some serious performance issues. Switching it fixed everything for me!
Got it! I'll try reinstalling the drivers too. Thanks!
