I'm having an issue where the F1 through F12 keys on my keyboard only respond when I press the Fn key. For example, pressing F1 opens some sort of menu instead of performing its normal function. It used to work fine without the Fn key, but now I can't change the settings back. Is there a way to fix this?

Don’t forget to check the user manual for your laptop! Some models require the Fn key for F1-F12, and you'll need to use that key to switch back. If you have a full-sized keyboard on your laptop, it might have dedicated keys for function, which can mess with how those work.
Actually, it sounds like it might be normal behavior for your laptop. Many devices are designed so that you have to press the Fn key to use F1-F12 directly. If you want to revert to the original setup, you’d have to go into the BIOS and change the settings.
You can usually fix this by pressing Fn + Esc to lock the function keys in the default setting. If that doesn’t work, checking your BIOS settings might help—there’s often an option to swap how the function keys behave.
