I'm looking to upgrade my dad's old Dell XPS 8700 from 2014, which has an Intel i7 4700 CPU with integrated graphics. I want to play Minecraft Java Edition smoothly, aiming for around 165fps at 1080p. I've already optimized my game with every performance mod I can find, but I'm wondering if I even need to get a new GPU at all. If I do, I'm aiming for something under $200 that won't bottleneck my CPU and still supports Windows 7 drivers, as my dad uses that for work. Ideally, I'd prefer an NVIDIA GPU so I can use the Nvidium mod too. Any suggestions?

A used GTX 1060 with 6GB memory can be found for around $50, and it should handle Minecraft really well. Just make sure you don't go for anything too powerful, or you might waste money because your CPU may not keep up.

Unfortunately, I can't use a used one. 🙁
