Help! How to Fix “USB Controller Resources Exceeded” Error Without a USB Hub?

I'm getting this annoying "USB controller resources exceeded" error on my computer, but the odd part is I don't even have a USB hub connected. I'm not sure what's causing this; the only USB-related issue I've noticed is that my wireless 8BitDo Ultimate controller disconnects randomly. Does anyone have any ideas on how to tackle this problem?

The message can be tricky. If you’re not using many USB devices, it might be a driver conflict or something going on with the ports themselves. Make sure your USB drivers are up to date and try testing the controller on another port to see if it improves the situation.

Your computer's motherboard has built-in USB hubs, even if you don’t have an external one. Check how many USB devices are connected. If you unplug the 8BitDo controller, does the error stop showing up? That could help pinpoint the issue.
