I recently had my iPhone 11 stolen, and now I'm stuck trying to activate my new iPhone 13 mini. The problem is that I need to use two-factor authentication (2FA) from my stolen phone, which I obviously don't have anymore. I've tried accessing Apple support, but every page requires this 2FA, leaving me unable to proceed. I've submitted an account recovery request, but I've heard it can take up to three days. Is there any way to expedite this process, or cancel the request? I have all my account info but am completely blocked by the 2FA issue. It's frustrating to have this new phone sitting here and be unable to use it!

You could try getting a new SIM for your mobile number and put that into another phone, not necessarily your new one. This way, you could receive the 2FA code via SMS and use it to regain access.

I attempted this, but it seems like it's still trying to locate my old phone connected to the number. I never received the SMS even after multiple tries. My old phone still has that SIM, which might be the problem.
