Is it better to wait for a 9070 XT or settle for a 5060 Ti for 1440p gaming?

I'm putting together a gaming rig for 1440p at 144hz, and I'm considering my graphics card options. Ideally, I want to go for the 9070 XT because it seems like a great fit for 1440p gaming, plus it would save me some cash compared to the more pricier 5070 Ti. The catch is, these 9070 XTs are pretty rare, and when I do find one, it's around $900. I'm now leaning towards the more readily available 5060 Ti, which is approximately $500. I'm torn between spending the extra $400 on the 9070 XT, or if that added performance is even worth it in the long run. Is it sensible to get the cheaper option or should I hold out for the better card? I'm excited to play new titles like Doom the Dark Ages, Painkiller, Dune Awakening, Elden Ring Nightrein, and Broken Arrow once I get my new computer up and running!

Honestly, if you can manage the budget, go for the 9070 or the 5070 instead of the 5060 Ti. You'll get a much better experience.

For 1440p at 144Hz, I'd recommend at least considering the 5070 Ti. It's a great value if you can find it at MSRP, but good luck hunting one down!

The 5070 might have less VRAM, but it's a more powerful card than the 5060 Ti, so it's worth it if you find one.

Totally agree! Also, it's more future-proof, so it's a smarter investment.
