I'm in a bit of a bind. I have two drives in my PC, and while I was trying to install Windows on one, I accidentally deleted the wrong drive from the installation menu. I realized my mistake right away and shut down my PC, but now that drive just shows up as "free space." Is there any hope for recovering my data? I'm currently using Linux, and I really need some urgent help with this.

You should definitely try using TestDisk. It's a tool that can help recover your partition table. There are lots of video guides out there to help you navigate it. Just follow the prompts, and when it shows the detected disks, make sure you're selecting the right one. It's normal if the size shows a little variation, like about 10%. Good luck!
I don’t have enough space on my external drive to complete the recovery. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I actually used TestDisk, and it worked! I managed to access my file list and copy everything back. Huge relief! Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
