I'm having a frustrating issue with my ThinkPad running Windows 11. Every time I close my laptop to put it to sleep, it takes forever to reconnect to the internet when I open it back up. I've checked all the power settings but haven't found anything that looks like a power-saving feature that cuts off the internet connection. My laptop specs are: 477GB storage, 128MB graphics card, 32GB RAM, and an 11th gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had a similar issue and noticed that under Device Manager, specifically in the network adapters section, there were some settings related to power saving for both my Ethernet and Wi-Fi. I found options named 'Energy Efficient Ethernet' and 'MIMO Power Save Mode.' I turned those off, and it seemed to help! Maybe give that a shot?
You might want to check the Device Manager. Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and then click Properties. Look for a Power Management tab. If there's an option that allows Windows to turn off the device to save power, make sure to uncheck that box. This could help keep your connection active even in sleep mode.
